Yellow Rose Women's Western Shirt

There's a song called "The Yellow Rose Of Texas" that was a popular cowboy style song that has a catchy melody and words that once you hear it, sticks with you. According to Wikipedia "The Yellow Rose of Texas" is a traditional folk song which has long been popular in the United States and is considered an official state song of Texas. Wilkepedia also provides an interesting history of the song, that puts an interesting spin on the origins of the song and the words. Words that have been changed over time and to suit the use of the song. Here is what an actual 'yellow rose of Texas looks like...

It was also the title of an NBC television show "The Yellow Rose" (1983-84), which was developed to attempt to cash in on the popularity of CBS' "Dallas", but it failed to catch on and ended quickly. That show starred one of our cowboy heros, Sam Elliott.

The song goes something like this....

"There's a yellow rose in Texas,
I'm going home to see.
While other arms have held her,
Her heart belongs to me...."

...well something like that....I am not positive about the words....however, I am positive that as women's western shirts go, this Yellow Rose Scully Women's Western Shirt is very, very western and very, very nice!

This hot western shirt features embroidered front & back yokes with retro floral styling, made from soft rayon polyester fabric. It has adjustable snap cuffs with pearl snaps. A perfect women's western shirt!

I think it's time we had a video...this is from 1964 and a movie called Viva Los Vegas starring Evis Presley. Here is Elvis singing the Yellow Rose of Texas!

That 83-buck women's western shirt is very nice! Cacties also got classic western shirt but just for men for now. But they're planning to include women's western wear in the near future. You might want to pay a visit to their cowboy friendly blog too!

Thanks :)
